Privacy
Your videos never leave your device. CompressLab compresses video entirely in your browser using the browser’s built-in video encoder. Files you add are not uploaded to us or anyone else.
What is stored on your device
- Your settings and chosen language (browser local storage), and the folder you picked for saving (browser storage; you can reset it any time).
- Temporary files while compressing (browser private storage), deleted on the next run.
Text recognition and PDF reading
When you upload a delivery spec as PDF or an image, the reading libraries (pdf.js, Tesseract) are downloaded from the jsDelivr CDN. The document itself is processed locally and not sent anywhere.
Advertising and analytics
This site may show ads served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings. Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before such cookies are used.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, country, device and browser, and how the tools are used — for example the file type, an approximate size range, the settings chosen, how long processing took and whether it succeeded. File names and file contents are never sent. Google Analytics uses cookies; in the EEA, UK and Switzerland they are set only after you consent. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
