Projector plays no sound, or won’t open the file?

Budget projectors have weak media players. Pick yours — HY300, HY320, Wanbo, Yaber, Xgimi, YG300 — and convert to what it actually handles.

Your files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

1 Your TV, box or projector

Not on the list? Paste the “supported formats” table from the manual

2 Your videos

3 USB stick, sound and subtitles

4 Save to the stick or a folder

Long batch? Leave the tab open and visible — the screen is kept awake. If the tab is closed, open the page again and press “Continue”: finished files are skipped.

Typical limits

Converting to the panel’s resolution also makes files 2–4× smaller, so far more fits on the stick.

Questions

My projector says 4K support — should I keep 4K?

Most budget “4K-support” projectors accept a 4K file but show it on a 720p or 1080p panel. Converting to the native resolution looks the same and saves a lot of space.
