Subtitles not showing on the TV?

Choose “Next to the video” to get a matching .srt for every file, or “Burn into the picture” for devices that ignore subtitle files.

Your files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

Long batch? Leave the tab open and visible — the screen is kept awake. If the tab is closed, open the page again and press “Continue”: finished files are skipped.

What TVs expect

Built-in subtitles

Text subtitles inside MKV (SRT/ASS) are extracted to a matching .srt or burned in. Picture subtitles (PGS from Blu-ray, VobSub from DVD) can’t be turned into text in a browser — use an external SRT for those.

Questions

Can I turn burned-in subtitles off later?

No — they become part of the picture. Keep the original file if you may need it without subtitles.
